Ametalin ThermalBreak 7 Insulation is an exceptional foil foam insulation with a Class 2 Vapour Barrier, offering superior performance. It is specifically engineered for multi-level residential and commercial constructions, compatible with both steel and timber frames. Trade Select by Ametalin ThermalBreak 7 is a double-sided reflective insulation that is free from fibers, featuring a closed-cell XPE foam with anti-glare foil on one side and plain foil on the other side. This versatile product includes a 150mm overlap piece and can be effectively utilized as tile or metal roof sarking, as well as a high-quality solution for wall wrap applications.
ThermalBreak™ is an exceptional three-in-one reflective insulation that serves as an Extra Heavy Duty solution, functioning as a thermal break and Class 2 Vapour Barrier for various roof and wall types. It fully complies with the NCC (National Construction Code) requirements, meeting the specified in-situ material R-value of R0.20 for thermal breaks in steel framed constructions, while also being suitable for timber framed constructions.
Engineered to effectively manage both heat gain and heat loss, ThermalBreak™ surpasses the thermal performance of traditional insulation methods. By significantly reducing thermal bridging and conductivity between different building elements, it ensures enhanced energy efficiency.
ThermalBreak™ is composed of a 7.8 mm core made of chemically cross-linked, closed-cell XPE foam. On one side, there is a single layer of aluminum with an emissivity rating of 0.03, while the other side features a layer of polymer weave with an emissivity rating of 0.05. This construction maximizes its reflective properties and overall effectiveness in thermal insulation.
