How to Insulate a Shed with Kingspan Insulshed
Installing Kingspan Insulshed during the construction of a new shed is a relatively straightforward process. To begin, it is essential to calculate the total roof area of the shed. Adding an extra 10% to account for overlapping at each join will give a good estimate of the amount of shed roof insulation needed. Alternatively, you can measure the exact area and use reflective tape to seal each join.
For ease of installation, you may consider cutting the insulation roll to the appropriate length beforehand. This will make the installation process smoother.
To achieve optimal performance, it is recommended to leave a small air-gap of 2-4 cm with reflective insulation. This can be easily accomplished by allowing a little slack during the installation process. The insulation will naturally sag slightly, creating a sufficient air-gap.
To secure Insulshed, ordinary self-drilling metal screws can be used to fasten it to the eaves of the shed.
