Description
SCG Green Ceiling Insulation
SCG Green is made up of a thermosetting resin and a lightweight and resilient glasswool blend. Its flexibility, good recovery, and thickness consistency provide a consistent R-Value. AS/NZS 4859 is used in the production of SCG Green. SCG Green is available in a variety of R-Values and is an excellent thermal and acoustic insulation that can be installed above the ceiling and in wall partitions in both commercial and residential buildings.
R3.5 Insulation is Best for New or Existing Homes
SCG Green R3.5 thermal insulation batts are a convenient option for both new and existing homes. When installing in a new home, it is recommended to install the insulation batts before the ceiling lining is fixed in place, which can be done easily from underneath. However, for existing homes, installation will need to be done through the ceiling space accessed via the manhole. The insulation comes in various widths and thicknesses to fit most common joist heights and spacing. The compressed pack of insulation batts makes it easy to transport and store. Additionally, each pack comes with instructions for easy installation, and there are DIY videos available for further guidance. The R3.5 insulation batts can be used in both timber and metal frame residential structures. Furthermore, SCG Green ceiling insulation provides some reduction in outside noise transmission. It is odorless, non-combustible, rot-proof, and doesn’t encourage vermin, fungi, mold, or bacteria growth in your roof.
Environmentally Friendly Glasswool
SCG insulation products are GECA certified and made of fibreglass, demonstrating that they are environmentally friendly and have a low impact on human health. The SCG Acoustic Insulation Batt range is a newer generation of glasswool insulation batts that are softer, safer, and more environmentally friendly. SCG’s environmental commitment is demonstrated by their eco-friendly product development concept “Green Product from Green Process,” which employs 100% recycled glass as a major raw material. They are an excellent choice for do-it-yourself homeowners who want to save money on energy bills and maintain a more consistent indoor temperature while also sound-proofing their home.
